Haridwar, April 19 -- Elephant scare has gripped the city as well as rural outskirts of Haridwar, with several incidents of the mammal's movement being reported in the past week alone. On Saturday, an elephant was spotted in the Jagjeetpur-Pathri area by local villagers near adjacent agricultural fields. On Wednesday night, an elephant was seen entering a petrol pump premises in the Doodhadhari-Shantikunj residential area, adjacent to the Motichur forest terrain. The elephant strolled before returning to the forest terrain from the petrol pump, which is located near the Haridwar-Dehradun highway....
