Lucknow, Feb. 12 -- The Uttar Pradesh government has mandated that departments must ensure approval of employees' leaves under every category through the Manav Sampada portal. In a directive issued by chief secretary SP Goyal here on Wednesday, all additional chief secretaries, principal secretaries, secretaries, heads of departments, divisional commissioners and district magistrates have been asked to ensure 100% registration of regular employees on the portal and compulsory use of its several modules. The order stated that the portal had been made operational to ensure speedy and transparent disposal of service-related matters of government employees. All regular employees of departments, subordinate offices, autonomous bodies and corporations are required to be registered on the portal, it said. The personnel department had earlier issued instructions on December 9, 22 and 30, 2025, directing that leave applications be disposed of in a time-bound manner only through the portal. However, a review found that these directions were not being fully complied with.
