LUCKNOW, Feb. 25 -- The UP State Road Transport Corporation will run additional buses across the state to manage the Holi rush and prevent overcrowding. The decision was taken at a review meeting chaired by managing director Prabhu N Singh at the corporation headquarters in Lucknow on Tuesday. The meeting focused on smooth operations, passenger safety and better traffic management during this festival period. Singh directed all regions to prepare a clear plan for deploying extra buses on high-demand routes and to ensure uninterrupted services. He also ordered strict technical inspections under prescribed 13-point and 31-point check systems. No bus will operate without completing the required safety checks.
