Two wanted accused arrested in Raj Chauhan murder case
Agra, Jan. 31 -- Agra police have arrested two wanted accused in the murder of Raj Chauhan after separate encounters on Thursday night. With this, all five accused named in the case have now been either arrested or killed, police said.
Raj Chauhan, a criminal who was recently released on bail, was shot dead on January 23 during a clash at a guest house in the Trans Yamuna area of Agra.
According to Agra police, Vishnu Pandit alias Bhulla, who was carrying a reward of Rs.25,000, was arrested during routine checking near Etmadpur Pass on Thursday night. He was injured in the leg during the encounter and was admitted to hospital. Another wanted accused, Akash Prajapati, also carrying a reward of Rs.25,000, was arrested after an encounter in the Trans Yamuna area the same night. Earlier on Thursday, Arbaz Khan, another accused in the case, was killed in a police encounter. Two other accused, Ashu Tiwari and Mohit Pandit, both carrying rewards of Rs.25,000, were injured in separate encounters on Wednesday night and were arrested. Police said Raj Chauhan was active in the Trans Yamuna area and was shot dead after a conflict with another group of criminals....
