Two held with narcotics worth crores on NY eve
LUCKNOW, Jan. 1 -- Two peddlers from Rae Bareli were arrested here with 990 grams of a narcotic substance worth crores of rupees on New Year's eve, police said.
"Narcotics Task Force (NTF), in coordination with Nagarama police, seized 990 grams of morphine/smack estimated to be worth crores in the illegal market and arrested two traffickers in Lucknow," read details shared by Lucknow police.
The arrests were made near Ghorsara Pulia in the Nagarama police station area during a joint operation carried out as part of a special anti-narcotics drive.
"The accused have been identified as Kuldeep Singh, a resident of Dusauti village under Maharajganj police station in Raebareli district, and Ankush Yadav of Pure Babar Khan village in the Mill Area police station limits of the same district," said ADCP South Vasanth Rallapalli.
