India, March 18 -- For many, getting a passport stamped and travelling abroad is a dream come true. But first-time travellers often let excitement override strategic planning, leading to mistakes which may hamper their experience. Travel expert Sandeep Arora tells us about the common mistakes made by travellers during their first international trip. Take a look:
Anxiety about missing items often leads travellers to overpack for every scenario, resulting in unnecessary baggage. "The result is heavier luggage, higher baggage costs, and reduced mobility," adding stress through last-minute additions, duplicates, and poor decisions.
"Travellers often report leaving behind basics such as chargers, adapters, and toiletries. While these mistakes are inconvenient on domestic trips, they become far more disruptive internationally, where replacements may be expensive, incompatible, or unavailable upon arrival," Sandeep elaborates.
Travellers often underestimate travel time, assuming seamless movement. But at an international spot, one may be unfamiliar with the transport system or meet unexpected queues, causing delays. At the end, this leads to rushed sightseeing, missed plans and unnecessary stress.
New travellers often focus on flights and stays but ignore the pace of travel, leading to packed, stressful itineraries with no downtime or spontaneity.
