Lucknow, Feb. 12 -- Three people, including a father-son duo, were killed in a road accident in the Kamalapur police station area of Sitapur district on Wednesday evening. The accident took place near Baikunthpur village on Masterbagh Road. Police said a dumper truck hit a motorcycle while trying to overtake it. The impact was severe and the truck ran over the three riders. The driver fled the scene with the vehicle. The deceased were identified as Harikesh, 45, a resident of Hindoli; his son Ankul, 22, and Ankul's father-in-law, Gaya Prasad, 59, a resident of Hariharpur Jamrakha. They were travelling on the motorcycle for personal work when the accident occurred. Eyewitnesses said the dumper came from behind at high speed and rammed the bike during the overtaking attempt. All three fell on the road and were crushed under the heavy vehicle, dying on the spot. Kamalapur station house officer Itul Chaudhary reached the site with a police team and inspected the area. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination. Police have started a search for the driver and the dumper. CCTV footage from nearby areas is being checked to identify the vehicle....
