Lucknow, May 2 -- A 17-year-old boy was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the Madeyganj area. His body was recovered near Daliganj crossing behind an Indian Oil petrol pump, about 500 metres from his residence. The boy had been living with his maternal uncle near Shia College after the death of his parents. According to the family, he left home around 10 am on Friday to work at a shop and did not return for lunch as usual. When he remained untraceable till night, relatives began searching for him. Around 11:45 pm, police informed them that a youth had been found unconscious near the Indian Oil tank behind Daliganj crossing. He was taken to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The body was first spotted by a petrol pump supervisor, who alerted police. Identification was later confirmed with the help of a local mechanic. Family members have alleged foul play, claiming the boy had a dispute with a neighbour a day earlier and was allegedly threatened.
