Techtro Lucknow Football Club start with win
LUCKNOW, Feb. 5 -- Local outfits Techtro Lucknow Football Club on Wednesday launched their campaign in the AIFF Sub-Junior League 2025-26, outplaying hosts Sudeva Delhi Football Club 4-2, at the Sudeva FC Ground in Delhi.
From the opening whistle in their opening match in Group B, Techtro Lucknow FC displayed an aggressive approach and unwavering confidence. The team maintained possession and created numerous scoring opportunities, dominating the match throughout.
Ashish Murmu scored two brilliant goals in the opening minutes, giving his team a strong lead, while Chonjoythang sealed the victory with a goal in the second half, including a goal scored in stoppage time, which showcased the team's spirit and focus.
In fact, Ashish opened the account in the eight minute of the first half (1-0), before netting his second in the 20th minute to put the team into a 2-0 lead. Ten minutes before the break, Michael M Seiboigun Haokip reduced the margin for Sudeva Delhi Football Club (1-2).
Sudeva Delhi Football Club continued to put pressure over Techtro Lucknow FC and they managed to level the score a minute before the half time through Ningthoujam Thoithoiba Meetei (2-all).
At the time when Sudeva Delhi FC looked set for further goals, Leimapokpam Pari Singh shot a goal for Techtro Lucknow FC (3-1) in the 55th minute before Chonjoythang Khogsai completed the formality in the dying minutes (4-2).
Haryana's Manjo Dhyan Chand Hockey Academy on Wednesday stormed into the quarterfinals of the 36th All India KD Singh Babu Sub-Junior Boys Hockey Tournament, defeating Tata Steel Jamshedpur 2-1, at the Padma Shri Mohd Shahid Synthetic Hockey Stadium here on Wednesday.
