Lucknow, Feb. 5 -- On the occasion of World Cancer Day, Kalyan Singh Super Speciality Cancer Institute (KSSSCI), Lucknow, organised a Cancer Awareness Week. As part of the programme, a blood donation camp was held in the department of transfusion medicine, during which 40 units of blood were collected. During the week-long activities, cancer survivors shared their inspiring journeys, motivating patients and the public. A cancer awareness quiz was also organised to enhance public knowledge. Director of the institute, Prof MLB Bhatt, stated that the World Cancer Day 2026 theme "United by Unique" highlights that while every cancer journey is different, unity through awareness, timely treatment, positive thinking and compassion strengthens the fight against cancer.
