Stakeholder conference highlights role of colleges in AYUSH growth
LUCKNOW, Feb. 24 -- An AYUSH stakeholder conference was organised in the Maharishi Charak Auditorium of the Government Ayurvedic College and Hospital, Turiya Ganj, Lucknow, under the joint auspices of the Vishwa Ayurveda Parishad, Uttar Pradesh, and the Government Ayurvedic College, Lucknow on Monday.
The NCISM (National Commission for Indian System of Medicine) president, Prof Manisha Upendra Kotekar, who attended the event from New Delhi, explained that college managers, principals, and medical teachers play a significant role in the development of AYUSH.
Dr Mukul Patel of NCISM stated that every AYUSH college hospital needs to register on the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission platform. Dr Sushrut Kanojia of the Board of Ayurveda stated that AYUSH college doctors will be registered in the state register..
Principal of the Ayurvedic College, Prof Dinesh Kumar Maurya, told about the work done by the AYUSH department in the past years.
At the event, the NCISM president presented the Dr Satyapal Gupta Memorial Charak Uttaradhikar Award to final-year students of the Government Ayurveda College, with Khushboo Sharma receiving the gold medal and Meenakshi Tiwari receiving the silver medal.
