LUCKNOW, Feb. 24 -- Archers from the Sanjeeva Singh Archery Institute (SSAI), Deoria performed brilliantly at the 3rd Khelo India Women's National Ranking Tournament 2026 at Vijayawada, winning a gold medal. The institute's talented archers showcased their skill, confidence, and determination in this prestigious competition. Nikita, an archer from the SBIF ACE Program, performed brilliantly and won the gold medal, finishing top in the ranking round with an impressive score of 314-315. She got a bye in the first round and beat Satyabhama (Chhattisgarh) 6-0 in the second round. In the third round, she defeated Chesta (Uttar Pradesh) 6-4 before defeating Shama (Chhattisgarh) 6-0 to secure the gold medal. Nikita's performance is a result of her excellent technique, mental toughness, and constant practice. Another archer from the scheme Manasvi Shivprakash Dake scored 319-311 in the ranking round to finish fourth. Whereas Bhawna Singh scored 316 and 307 in the ranking rounds to finish fifth. Sanjeeva Singh, recipient of the Arjuna Award and Dronacharya Award, expressed her immense happiness at the athletes' success. "This is a moment of immense pride and joy for us. Our athletes have achieved this success through hard work, discipline, and dedication. I extend my blessings to all the children and trust that they will continue to progress in this way," he said on Monday.
