SRTC starts new AC bus services from Lucknow
LUCKNOW, April 26 -- To provide relief to passengers during the summer season, the UPSRTC has launched four new air-conditioned bus services connecting Lucknow with Azamgarh, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, and Varanasi. The services began operating on Sunday from the Alambagh bus terminal.
Assistant regional manager Satya Narayan Chaudhary said the new buses have been introduced in view of the rising passenger demand during the peak summer season. He added that six more AC buses are likely to be added to the fleet soon.
As per the schedule, the bus to Azamgarh will depart daily at 9 am with a fare of Rs.678. For Prayagraj, two buses will run at 7 am and 12 noon, with tickets priced at Rs.460. Services to Varanasi will operate at 9 am and 10:30 am, with a fare of Rs.711. The bus to Gorakhpur will also depart at 9 am, costing Rs.686. htc...
