GORAKHPUR, May 9 -- To reduce delays in cancer diagnosis and ensure continuous follow-up care, Max Super Speciality Hospital on Friday launched specialised oncology OPD services in Gorakhpur. Dr Shashank Chaudhary, principal consultant of surgical oncology, said the initiative is expected to help cancer patients access early screening, timely treatment decisions, and regular follow-up consultations locally, thereby improving survival rates and preventing complications caused by delayed care. Dr Ashutosh Mishra, associate consultant, medical oncology and hemato-oncology, said radiation treatment for eligible patients would be covered under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
