Lucknow, Feb. 20 -- The Election Commission of India will observe Special Intensive Revision (SIR) Campaign Day in Uttar Pradesh on February 22. Uttar Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep Rinwa on Thursday issued instructions to all District Election Officers regarding the campaign. The special drive will be held at all polling stations to receive claims and objections from voters. Officials have been directed to ensure progress during the notice phase. Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will remain present at their respective polling stations from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm to accept claims and objections as per procedure. All Electoral Registration Officers, Assistant Electoral Registration Officers and other concerned officials have been asked to ensure strict compliance. The campaign aims to make the electoral roll more accurate, updated and transparent, and to enrol the maximum number of eligible citizens. Meanwhile, mandatory BLO attendance at Voter Assistance Centres from 10 am to 12 pm has ended to allow them to prioritise field duties, including notice distribution and verification work....
