Seers hold rally over violence against Hindus in Bangladesh
PRAYAGRAJ, Jan. 13 -- Devotees and seers at the Magh Mela held a protest rally on Monday against recent violence targeting Hindus in Bangladesh, demanding central government intervention to ensure their safety.
Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Kaushalyanand Giri, known as 'Tina Maa,' said, "This rally is for the protection of Hindus. Atrocities are being committed against our community in Bangladesh. We appeal to the Central government to intervene and take necessary steps."
The rally, organised by Sanatani Kinnar Akhara, began from the Akhara premises at 3 pm and proceeded towards Jhunsi. Participants carried banners and raised slogans while marching to the banks of the Ganga, where they performed Ganga Puja and offered symbolic Pind Daan for those killed in the violence.
