New Delhi, Feb. 17 -- The Delhi high court on Monday granted bail to Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) chief Moideen Kutty K, alias MK Faizy, in a money laundering case linked to the banned Popular Front of India (PFI). The SDPI is the political wing of PFI, which was banned in 2022. Faizy was arrested in March 2025 at the Delhi airport under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), days after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided his residence in Kerala. The ED said the SDPI promoted PFI's ideology and agenda and was funded by it. It said Faizy was a member of PFI since its inception.
