School bus conductor brutally murdered with sharp weapon
PRAYAGRAJ, Feb. 3 -- A school bus conductor was brutally murdered late on Sunday night in Kanemai village under the Saini police station limits of Kaushambi district. Unidentified assailants attacked him with a sharp weapon while he was sleeping outside his house and fled with his mobile phone, cash, and other belongings. Police have taken the suspect into custody based on the complaint filed by the victim's son.
According to reports, the deceased, 55-year-old Ganesh Prasad, worked as a conductor on the school bus of Dharma Devi Inter College in Kaushambi. As per his daily routine, he slept on a cot outside his house on Sunday night and was expected to leave for work at 5am. When he did not wake up on Monday morning, his son Rahul went to check on him and found him lying in a pool of blood on the cot. Rahul raised an alarm, following which villagers informed the police.
ASP Rajesh Kumar Singh, DSP (Sirathu) Santosh Kumar, and a forensic team reached the spot and conducted a detailed inspection. The police later sent the body for postmortem examination.
Rahul has filed a complaint accusing Poorn Shankar alias Bauwa, resident of Thariyawan in Fatehpur district and the brother-in-law of their neighbor, Jagatpal, of involvement in the murder. Based on the complaint, police have registered a case and detained the accused for questioning.
SP Kaushambi Rajesh Kumar said that while the family has named a suspect, multiple angles have surfaced in the preliminary investigation, and the case is expected to be solved soon. Police are examining all possible motives behind the crime....
