Lucknow, Jan. 17 -- The state government on Friday approved the 'Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Employment and Industrial Zone' initiative. The move aims to establish 'Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Employment and Skill Development Centres' in every district, covering at least 50 acres of land. Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday reviewed the detailed action plan for the initiative aimed at directly linking industrial development with employment in the state. These centres will serve as integrated hubs for industry, training, and services, providing opportunities for employment, skill development, and entrepreneurship to the youth. The centres will feature display zones for ODOP products, training halls, meeting facilities, district industry centers, UP Skill Development Mission, district employment offices, common service centres and banking facilities. They will function as one-stop support systems for young people and entrepreneurs. Adityanath directed that this zone, to be developed in each district, should function as an integrated industrial and employment ecosystem, where industries, training, and services are available in the same complex. He said that the main objective of this project is to connect youth with training, placement, and entrepreneurship along with the establishment of industries. The CM directed that skill development, handholding, and placement services be mandatorily integrated with the zone. He said that youth should be directly connected with industries through training programmes, skill upgradation, job fairs, entrepreneurship training, and mentoring related to the service and industrial sectors.
