LUCKNOW, Feb. 15 -- The Maintenance and Operations Committee of Rashtra Prerna Sthal has approved a proposal to reduce the museum entry fee from Rs 50 to Rs 35, paving the way for immediate implementation of the revised rates. The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA), which constructed the prerna sthal, got the approval from the committee formally cleared and approved the minutes of its earlier meeting in which the fee reduction was proposed. LDA vice-chairman Prathamesh Kumar confirmed the development and said the authority reduced the charges to make the museum more accessible to the public. He said the move aims to encourage higher footfall. Under the revised structure, visitors will continue to pay Rs 15 as entry fee for the park premises. Those who wish to visit the museum will now pay an additional Rs.35 instead of Rs 50. Officials said the committee took the decision keeping public outreach and accessibility in mind.
