PRAYAGRAJ, Jan. 30 -- The police, on Wednesday night, busted a prostitution racket operating at a residential house near the Madhwapur vegetable market in the Kydganj area of Prayagraj. Four young women, including an alleged female kingpin, along with four men, were arrested during the raid. Objectionable materials were also seized from the premises. According to police, the racket had been functioning from two rented rooms for the past four months. All the accused have been taken into custody and are being interrogated. ACP (Kydganj) Rajeev Yadav stated that the police had received multiple complaints over the past few days regarding illegal prostitution activities in the area. Acting on this information, a team conducted a late-night raid on Wednesday. During the operation, men and women were found in objectionable conditions inside the two rooms, he added. Investigations revealed that all the arrested individuals are residents of Prayagraj. One of the women, who rented the rooms four months ago, allegedly ran the prostitution racket from there. The house owner, a resident of Bairhana, told police that the woman from Dhoomanganj had rented the rooms for Rs.7,000 per month, claiming she would reside there with her family, the ACP shared. Police further revealed that the woman from Dhoomanganj was acting as the kingpin, luring young women into the racket by offering money. She is currently being interrogated to identify others involved in the network, the ACP said....
