India, Feb. 27 -- A ctor-producer Priyanka Chopra Jonas recently revealed that she was "forced" to publicly announce the birth of her daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, during what she describes as a "personally traumatic time". Speaking on the Jay Shetty podcast, Priyanka shared that Malti Marie, whom she welcomed via surrogacy on January 15, 2022, was born prematurely at just 27 weeks. She then had to be immediately admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Recalling the ordeal, the 43-year-old said, "She was purple. I was just numb. We were in the hospital and it was such a personally traumatic time." Amid the uncertainty surrounding their newborn's health, Priyanka and her husband, singer-actor Nick Jonas, were also dealing with an unexpected media leak.
