Political parties, Urban Naxals involved in Noida agitation, says UP govt
Lucknow, April 16 -- The Uttar Pradesh government has said the Noida workers' agitation was not a genuine expression of labour discontent, rather it was driven by a premeditated conspiracy in which the involvement of certain political parties and 'Urban Naxal' organisations has come to light, according to an official spokesperson.
Out of a total of 66 arrests, 45 individuals were found not to be actual labourers, the government added.
"Of the 17 individuals identified in connection with the arson incident, 11 have been arrested-eight of whom are non-labourers. Meanwhile, 32 individuals were identified on charges of incitement, 19 of whom have been taken into custody. Furthermore, 34 individuals were apprehended who, despite not being labourers, had joined the alleged movement. Four individuals have also been arrested on charges of orchestrating the conspiracy; they are alleged to have links with certain organised networks. Those arrested so far are reported to be affiliated with Urban Naxal organisations," the spokesperson said....
