Police nab 10 at meat export unit after buffalo theft spree
ALIGARH, Feb. 15 -- Ten people, including senior officials of a meat export company, were arrested by Aligarh Police on Friday in connection with an alleged buffalo theft racket.
Those arrested include the firm's general manager, Ravi Kumar, liaison officer Tabrez, along with security personnel Chitranjan Sharma, Bisharat Husain, plus six other staff members. SSP Neeraj Kumar said buffalo theft cases had spiked over the past two days in villages under Khair, Tappal police stations. "A special team scanned CCTV footage from dozens of villages. They spotted a specific pick-up van at every location where buffaloes had been reported stolen," the SSP told reporters.htc...
