Parallel taxiway at Lko airport nears finish
Lucknow, Feb. 5 -- The construction of a parallel taxiway at the city airport was almost complete, sources at the airport said.
They added once the taxiway became fully operational, the airport's flight-handling capacity would increase and connectivity to Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru were likely to get better.
Over the past year, three major infrastructure projects were undertaken at the airport - runway resurfacing, installation of an Advanced Airfield Lighting System (ATLS), and construction of the parallel taxiway. While the runway repair and lighting upgrades were completed last year, work on the taxiway was now nearing completion.
