Lucknow, June 1 -- An FIR was registered against a woman politician's son in Mainpuri after several objectionable videos of him went viral on social media on Friday, police said on Saturday. Though the woman politician was said to be a BJP leader, UP cabinet minister Jaiveer Singh claimed she was expelled from the party in 2022. SP, City, Mainpuri, Arun Kumar Singh confirmed the FIR was registered against Shubham Gupta on the complaint of a woman (seen in the video). Shubham Gupta is the son of a mandal adhyaksh of the BJP in Mainpuri and leader of the party's Mahila Morcha, according to locals. The woman in the video lodged a complaint at the Mainpuri Kotwali police station late on Friday night, accusing Shubham Gupta of shooting video after sedating her. After directives from superintendent of police (SP), Mainpuri City, the cyber cell has also started a probe to find out how the videos were leaked and where they were shot. The woman in the video has accused Shubham Gupta's wife of leaking videos on various social media platforms. The woman in the videos is also a resident of the same city and has left her husband, said a local BJP leader not willing to be quoted. "My husband has been making obscene videos and has been mentally harassing me for the past three years. Often, he showed me these videos to mentally harass me," Shubham Gupta's wife told reporters on Friday. Shubham Gupta's wife has also given an application to the police accusing her in-laws of domestic violence, the SP City added. According to the initial probe by the police, the videos were shot at different hotels across the city. Police could not trace Shubham Gupta till Saturday evening....
