Lucknow, Jan. 16 -- Eleven officers and employees of the Lucknow division of Northern Railway received individual honours, while eight departments won efficiency shields at the general manager's distinguished railway service awards ceremony. The event was held at the National Rail Museum in New Delhi, on Thursday. NR GM Ashok Kumar Verma presented the awards at a headquarters-level function. The ceremony was organised to recognise excellent service and outstanding work by railway staff and units. Officials said these awards are given every year to appreciate dedicated and meritorious service.
