Lucknow, Feb. 7 -- : The National Green Tribunal (NGT)has asked the Uttar Pradesh government to submit details of medical treatment and assistance given to residents whose blood samples showed chromium and mercury. Samples were collected between January 2020 and October 2025 from Rakhi Mandi and Rania in Kanpur Nagar, Kanpur Dehat and Fatehpur. Hearing a case on industrial water pollution, the tribunal stressed the urgency as the issue affects lives and livelihoods.
