Bareilly, Jan. 1 -- The new year is set to bring better air connectivity for Bareilly after the airport ranked first in Uttar Pradesh and seventh in the country in a passenger satisfaction survey. Officials said a new Bareilly-Navi Mumbai flight is expected to start by the end of March. Slots at Navi Mumbai Airport and a no objection certificate from the Airports Authority of India (AAI) have already been received. Currently, Bareilly Airport operates flights to Mumbai four days a week and to Bengaluru three days a week. Both routes are seeing high demand. Due to rising passenger numbers, IndiGo has introduced a larger 232-seater aircraft on these routes. Plans are also underway to start flights to Kushinagar, Delhi and Lucknow. Expansion work at the airport is progressing fast and a new terminal is expected to be ready by March 2027....
