LUCKNOW, Sept. 18 -- Industrial development and export promotion minister Nand Gopal Gupta 'Nandi' reviewed key development projects of the Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (Upsida) at its headquarters in Kanpur. During the meeting, Nandi asked officials to speed up industrial land allocation and project execution. He stressed that construction works must be completed on time and with full quality standards, and warned of action against contractors or officials showing negligence. Upsida is developing a 1,472-acre Pharma Park in the first phase. Nandi directed officials to attract domestic and global pharmaceutical companies and showcase state incentives to new investors. Officials were told to coordinate with the central government to acquire vacant land in different parts of the state to expand industrial activity. A pilot integrated control and command centre (ICCC) is coming up at Naini Industrial Area, Prayagraj. "Our focus is on speed, quality and transparency," said the minister. "Industrial land should be readily available, projects must finish on time, and investors should feel confident about doing business in Uttar Pradesh," he said....
