PRAYAGRAJ, Feb. 13 -- A married woman died under suspicious circumstances at a private clinic in Narai village under Phulpur police station area of Prayagraj on Wednesday evening, leading to a protest by her family members. The family alleged that negligent treatment by the clinic operators caused her death. They kept the body at home for nearly 18 hours, demanding the arrival of senior officials and initiation of action against the accused. The family lodged a written complaint with Phulpur police of administering improper treatment which led to her death, accusing Geeta Patel, who allegedly runs an illegal clinic from her home, along with her husband Sukhdev Patel, daughter Deepshikha Patel, and son in law Subhash Chandra Patel. The family stated that the clinic operators called Angura's mother, Gulab Kali, claiming that her daughter's condition had deteriorated. But when the family reached the clinic, all four accused were missing. Villagers informed them that Angura had been put in a car and was being taken to a city hospital. When the family intercepted the vehicle near Sahason, they found that Angura had already died. The accused allegedly fled upon seeing the family. The family then brought the body home along with the car and began their protest. The family remained firm on their demands of immediate arrest of all four accused, closure of the allegedly illegal clinic, financial assistance for the care of Angura's eightmonth old daughter, etc. After ACP (Phulpur) Vivek Yadav reached the spot and assured strict action, the family relented and allowed the police to send the body for a post mortem examination. Phulpur police have registered a case against the four accused and initiated further investigation....
