Mother, son electrocuted by live fence in Gkp village
GORAKHPUR, March 11 -- A woman and her teenage son died after being electrocuted by a live electric current running through a fence around an agricultural field in Daduhwa village under the Sikriganj police station limits on Monday afternoon.
Police said a fence was illegally charged with electricity to protect crops from stray cattle and wild animals.
Rita Devi ,45, and her son Himanshu ,16, died after coming in contact with a live wire around a pea field.
SHO Ashish Tiwari said the fence was connected to a domestic supply by field owner Deen Dayal Maurya. Himanshu was first electrocuted and his mother died while rescuing him. Bodies were sent for post-mortem and a case registered against field owner.HTC...
