Missing for a month, 19-yr-old's remains found in forest
Meerut, Jan. 20 -- Missing for over a month, the skeletal remains of a man, 19, was found in Muzaffarnagar's Budhana area, police said on Monday. Later, police booked three men, all brothers, from Baghpat, and suspected that they murdered Sachin Kumar and discarded his body in the woods near Nagwa hamlet.
Police found Sachin's remains in an agricultural field situated in the forest area of Nagwa. Clothes and shoes on it helped his family to identify Sachin, who had been missing since December 14. However, a missing person's report was registered on January 4.
A forensic team was called to the spot to examine the scene. All skeletal remains were collected and sent for forensic and DNA examination.
"The situation will become clear only after we get the DNA test report. Efforts are on to arrest the accused," circle officer Gajendra Pal Singh said.
Sachin, a resident of Nagwa village, was the youngest of four brothers. One of his brothers is reportedly battling mental health.
Based on a complaint filed by Vipin, police have registered a case against Gaurav, Dev and Viraj, who are brothers and live in Daha village in Baghpat district. According to the FIR, the three are related to Sachin's family.
Vipin, in his complaint, alleged that Sachin had an affair with the trio's sister, which had enraged them. htc...
