LUCKNOW, Feb. 17 -- A 25-year-old man was allegedly assaulted and had his throat slit with a surgical blade by his girlfriend's two brothers in Lucknow's Para area on Sunday evening. He survived the attack but needed 18 stitches to his throat. The police has registered an FIR. The incident occurred in Khushhalganj under Para Police Station limits. The injured man, Mahendra Kannaujia, 25, works as a shuttering labourer. According to his family, he has been in a relationship with a 27-year-old woman, Sunedha Gautam, who hails from the Kakori area. In the FIR, the victim's father, Santu, alleged that on February 15, the complainant's family had called the woman to their house to discuss the relationship. "During the conversation, her two brothers, Shivam Gautam, 27, and Anurag Gautam, 19, arrived at our house. The duo overpowered Mahendra, threw him to the ground, and attacked his throat with a blade typically used in surgical procedures," he said in the FIR. Mahendra suffered a deep throat wound and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors administered 18 stitches. His condition is now stable. The victim's family took both accused, along with the blade, to the Para police station and submitted a written complaint....
