Haridwar, Feb. 21 -- A 38-year-old man was arrested with 1,200 prohibited capsules in Pathri area of Haridwar district, police said on Friday. According to police, the arrest was made around 1 am during a routine checking drive on the Pherupur-Bahadarpur Jat road. A suspicious individual was stopped and frisked by the police team. "During the search, 1,200 capsules containing Acetaminophen, Tramadol Hydrochloride and Dicyclomine Hydrochloride were recovered from Pramod Kumar, a resident of Ikkad Kalan in Pathri. The capsules were seized on the spot," said Navneet Singh, senior superintendent of police, Haridwar. The accused was taken into custody and further interrogation is underway to identify other individuals involved in the alleged illegal trade. A case has been registered against him under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at Pathri police station. In a separate incident, police in Laksar arrested a man, identified as Feroz Ali (34), a resident of Sultanpur in Laksar, during a midnight checking operation on Thursday. He was found in possession of 110 capsules of Acetaminophen, Tramadol Hydrochloride and Dicyclomine Hydrochloride.
