PATNA, April 18 -- A 32-year-old man was arrested from Gujarat's Ahmedabad for allegedly issuing death threats to Samrat Choudhary, a day before he took oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar, officials said on Friday. "Accused Shekhar Yadav, a resident of Ahmedabad and native of Bihar's Banka district, is a truck driver. He is being brought to Bihar on a transit remand and will be produced in the Munger court after questioning," said Munger SP Syed Imran Masood. An FIR was registered against him for criminal intimidation after the purported audio surfaced on social media on April 15, police said. The SP added, "Two days ago, we received an audio from our sources in which one person was using abusive words and making life-threatening statements about the new CM. We verified the audio and identified the accused." Later, a police team was sent to Yadav's house. SP said that the accused also has a criminal history.
