Man held after leopard dies in Alwar field net
Jaipur, Jan. 30 -- Forest officials in Alwar detained a 58-year-old man after a two-year-old female leopard died, entangled in a net in Sariska Tiger Reserve.
Forest ranger Jitendra Sain said: "The incident took place when the leopard came out of the jungle and entered a field in Guwara village in Alwar's Jhiri, which is close to Thanagazi zone of the Sariska."
According to officials, the leopard became entangled in the net soon after entering the field. The accused then dragged it into the jungle and tied it to a tree.
"She died after being stuck in that condition for over three hours. Upon receiving the information from some other villagers, the forest officials later reached the spot and recovered her body," said Sain.htc...
