Kanpur, Feb. 7 -- A 33-year-old man died after his vehicle was stuck in a traffic jam on the Kanpur-Sagar highway while he was being taken to a district hospital following a medical emergency, police said on Friday. The deceased, Sanjay Yadav, a resident of Dhaunal village in Jalalpur police station area, had travelled to Masgawan village in the Maudaha region to attend a wedding in his wife's extended family. According to relatives, he suddenly fell ill on Thursday evening and began vomiting blood. He was taken to the Maudaha community health centre, where he was given primary treatment and discharged after doctors said his condition had stabilised. However, his health deteriorated again around 3 am on Friday, following which he was rushed back to the CHC, where doctors referred him to the district hospital in Hamirpur. While being transported in a private car, the vehicle got stuck in a severe traffic jam between Sumerpur and Hamirpur. He died before he could reach the hospital. The victim's brother, Babbu Yadav, said Sanjay had been in good health before travelling for the wedding and alleged that the delay in reaching the hospital proved fatal....
