Man brings snake to hospital after bite in Bahraich
Bahraich, March 3 -- In an incident reported from the Hardi area of Bahraich district, a 60-year-old man who was bitten by a snake caught the reptile and took it along to the hospital for identification and treatment.
The incident occurred on Monday in a village under the Hardi police station area. Brij Bhan Pandey was sifting straw in his courtyard to feed cattle when a snake hidden in the pile suddenly bit his finger.
Instead of panicking, Pandey caught the snake with a pair of tongs and secured it inside a box.
He immediately alerted his family, who rushed him to the district hospital carrying the boxed snake along with him. Doctors began treatment after examining both the patient and the reptile.
Hospital authorities said Pandey's condition is stable and he remains under observation. Health staff noted that although the snake was venomous, its relatively small size slowed the spread of venom in the body, helping prevent serious complications....
