Rudrapur, Jan. 29 -- Rudrapur police have booked the chairman and secretary of a madrasa in Ramnagar in Nainital district for insulting the national flag by allegedly inscribing Arabic words on it during Republic Day celebrations, officials said. A tricolour bearing the inscriptions was hoisted at the madrasa in Khatayri Colony. A video of the flag later circulated on social media, prompting members of an organisation to lodge a complaint. "We received information that the tricolour had been hoisted at a madrasa with something written on it. When we reached the spot, we found the information to be correct. After a preliminary inquiry, we booked Shahid Akhtar and Abdul Wahid under the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971, on Tuesday," said, SI. htc...
