LUCKNOW, March 20 -- Lucknow clinched the gold medal at the State Senior Men's Invitational Handball Championship in Amethi on Thursday, displaying a stellar performance throughout the tournament. In the final match of the championship on Thursday, Lucknow defeated Meerut by a margin of 43-36, securing the title for the second consecutive year and reaffirming their dominance. Goalkeeper Shashishankar Pandey played a pivotal role in Lucknow's victory in this match, delivering an outstanding performance. Earlier, in the semi-finals, Lucknow defeated Varanasi 40-32. The Lucknow team participating in the State-Level Junior Kho-Kho Championship, scheduled to be held in Bijnor starting March 20, was announced on Thursday. Anand Kumar has been entrusted with leading the boys' team, while Kamini has been appointed to lead the girls' team.
