Lucknow, Jan. 1 -- The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) will conduct the lottery for the allotment of flats under the Atal Nagar Housing Scheme at Devpur Para on January 8 and 9, officials said on Tuesday. The draw will be held at Mercury Hall, Indira Gandhi Pratishthan. It will be organised in the presence of eligible applicants and carried out in a transparent manner. The entire process will also be live-streamed on YouTube. LDA vice chairman Prathamesh Kumar said the Atal Nagar residential scheme has 2,496 flats in 15 towers, ranging from 12 to 19 storeys. Of these, 1,832 are one-bedroom flats and 664 are two-bedroom flats. The carpet area ranges from 30 square metres to 54.95 square metres, with prices starting from Rs.9.82 lakh. All towers will have lift facilities. He added that the housing complex will have basic infrastructure and amenities, including drinking water supply, electricity, power backup, security arrangements, green spaces, parks, a children's play area and adequate parking. Officials said online registrations for the scheme were accepted from October 4 to December 2, 2025. During this period, 5,781 applications were received. The allotment of flats will now be finalised through the lottery to be held over two days in January. Meanwhile, the LDA will start fresh registrations for flats under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) from January 1, 2026. Kumar said the proposal has been approved and necessary orders have been issued. Additional secretary CP Tripathi said that 2,256 PMAY flats at Sharda Nagar Extension were earlier allotted through a lottery. However, 185 flats became vacant after some allottees sought refunds and will now be offered again through a fresh draw. Online registration for these PMAY flats will be open from January 1 to January 31, 2026. Interested applicants can apply through the LDA website by paying a registration fee of Rs.5,000.
