LUCKNOW, Jan. 13 -- The Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) on Monday sealed the premises of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research National Bureau of Fish Genetic Resources (ICAR-NBFGR) in Gomti Nagar after the institute allegedly failed to clear property tax arrears exceeding Rs 1.36 crore, officials said. As per an LMC press release, the action was taken at the Vikalp Khand campus following directions from municipal commissioner Gaurav Kumar. The civic body said several notices were sent to ICAR-NBFGR, asking it to deposit the pending amount.
