LUCKNOW, Jan. 3 -- The Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) on Friday offered significant relief to residents by resolving 76 complaints during the Sampoorna Samadhan Diwas held at its headquarters in Lalbagh. The monthly grievance redressal programme primarily addressed house tax and water tax issues, with several cases being resolved on the spot after hearings. Mayor Sushma Kharkwal chaired the programme, held at the Triloknath Auditorium from 10 am to 1 pm. Officials received 60 complaints related to house tax and 16 concerning water tax from various zones of the city. Zone 1, covering areas such as Hazratganj, Lalbagh and Dalibagh, reported the highest number of complaints, followed by Zones 6 and 7. After reviewing objections raised following the GIS-based survey, civic officials revised tax assessments in multiple cases, providing immediate relief to taxpayers.
