Lucknow, Feb. 11 -- Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) has ordered attachment proceedings against Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam over long-pending house tax arrears exceeding Rs.29 lakh, its senior officials confirmed. Also, it has requested for the freezing of bank accounts operated in the name of its executive engineer. According to them, the action was taken against a building located in Jal Nigam Colony, Sector-24, Indira Nagar. The property-registered as House No. 24/002 (G.B.)-has reportedly accumulated outstanding house tax dues amounting to Rs.29,03,081 up to March 31, 2026.
