LDA proposes linking Mohaan Road-Agra E-way
LUCKNOW, Jan. 15 -- Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) had cleared a proposal to build a new link road connecting Mohan Road to the Agra Expressway and was now awaiting the state government's nod, officials said.
The officials said the proposed link road will act as a key access route to its Varun Vihar housing scheme, making the township more accessible and commercially viable.
Improved connectivity is expected to increase demand for plots and help the authority expedite sales.
According to them, LDA has planned the road in two phases. In the first phase, a 7-metre-wide road will be built to ensure immediate access to the township.
In the 2nd phase, it will widen the 7.4-kilometre-long road with an estimated project cost of Rs 30 crore.
Vice-chairman Prathamesh Kumar confirmed that the authority has forwarded the proposal to the state government for approval.
"Once the state government grants clearance, the LDA will immediately start construction and complete the work within the stipulated time period," he said.
The road proposal comes amid ongoing preparations for the Varun Vihar township. The LDA has already initiated land acquisition for the scheme and has taken possession of 65.62 acres in Dona and Tejkrishan Kheda villages.
