LUCKNOW, April 21 -- The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) recorded 110 applications under its One-Time Settlement (OTS) scheme since its April 18 launch, including 85 submissions on Monday at its Gomti Nagar headquarters. A help desk has been set up to assist applicants with digital filing. Madhvesh Kumar, deputy secretary, said the IT cell is contacting defaulters through automated calls, emails and SMS alerts to boost participation before the July 17 deadline. The scheme offers a waiver on penal and compound interest, allowing allottees to clear dues by paying the principal amount and simple interest. Officials said this is expected to ease financial pressure on middle-income families. The benefit covers residential and commercial properties, auction units, school plots and charitable institutions.
