KV temple gears up for Mahashivratri celebrations
VARANASI, Feb. 6 -- The Kashi Vishwanath Temple administration has made special arrangements to ensure that devotees do not face any inconvenience during the darshan of Baba Kashi Vishwanath on the occasion of Mahashivaratri during intervening night of February 15 and 16.
The worship and arti of Baba Kashi Vishwanath will be performed according to traditional customs, said KV Temple chief executive officer Vishwa Bhushan Mishra.
Mishra said the devotees are requested to follow the guidelines issued by the temple administration, maintain cooperation, and help in conducting this auspicious festival with devotion, peace, and discipline.
Furthermore, in view of the security and management of the shrine during the Mahashivratri festival, carrying pens, mobile phones, bags, digital/smart watches, tobacco, polythene, plastic water bottles, and other prohibited items into the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham complex will be strictly prohibited, said Mishra.
Entry into the KV Temple complex will not be permitted with any of these prohibited items....
