KSSSCI signs PPP MoU for affordable & advanced cancer care diagnostics
Lucknow, Jan. 22 -- The Kalyan Singh Super Speciality Cancer Institute (KSSSCI), Lucknow, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the empanelment of private diagnostic service providers for affordable and advanced cancer care through public-private partnership (PPP). The collaboration aims to expand access to PET scans, radiological interventional procedures and therapeutic diagnostic services for cancer patients.
The MoU was signed in the presence of chief medical superintendent Dr Vijendra Kumar and medical superintendent Dr Varun Vijay, marking a significant collaboration between the public healthcare system and private diagnostic institutions.
Under this PPP model, five private diagnostic centres have been empanelled with KSSSCI: Charakdhar Diagnostics and Charak Hospital & Research Centre, Shanya Global Scanning and Research, Globe Medicare Diagnostics, Sarkar Medical Diagnostic Centre and Shri Ram Murti Smarak Functional Imaging and Medical Centre.
Through this partnership, patients of KSSSCI will now have access to critical diagnostic services under both cash and cashless schemes, with rates strictly aligned to those prescribed under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana.
Director of KSSSCI Professor MLB Bhat said the initiative aims to bridge gaps in infrastructure, reduce patient waiting time, and improve the overall efficiency of cancer diagnosis and treatment.
