Krishi Mantrana 2026 begins at SHUATS
Prayagraj, Feb. 13 -- The three-day international conclave 'Krishi Mantrana 2026', themed "Transforming Indian Agriculture for Viksit Bharat@2047", began on Thursday at Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHUATS), Prayagraj. The event brought together academic leaders, policymakers and experts to discuss innovation, entrepreneurship, skill development and youth engagement in agriculture.
Addressing the inaugural session, Prof UP Singh from BHU urged young people to see agriculture not merely as labor-intensive work but as a field of innovation and problem-solving. He encouraged students to create employment through start-ups and to face challenges with confidence.Prof Parmendra Singh, DDG, UPCAR, stressed the need for economically viable and technology-driven agricultural growth. He said entrepreneurship should be integrated. Tulidas Sharma of the Indian Forest Service spoke about environmental stewardship and agroforestry.
